MSNBC mentioned Sen.McCain mistakenly mentioniong the "Iraq-Pakistan" border when he mean to say "Afganistan-Pakistan" border. They then went on to ask if Sen.McCain was getting "a pass" on this and wouldn't everyone be all over Sem. Obama if he had made that mistake? Whoa!! I NEVER heard any media outlet mention a word when Sen.Obama had his "57 states" moment....or when, in his Wisconsoin ads, he took credit for creating and passing legislation he didn't EVEN VOTE ON! Also, never a mention of his Democratic convention speech when he claimed his father was a sheep herder (he was part of the Kenyatta regime) and how poor he grew up (he went to the most expensive private school in Hawaii). These are not tired mistakes. These are untruths that are never mentioned or questioned. I used to be an Obama girl. The ability to lie so easily frightened me, and there are plenty more of these untruths...and they are not right wing smears. They're true. Check them out. Trust me, I WANTED Sen. Obama to be the person I initially believed, and I also didn't want to believe his disappointing actions.

As I see it, McCain has repeatedly stated things incorrectly, has flip-flopped repeatedly on prior positions, and these are documented elsewhere but not in the main stream media. McCain comes across as their favorite. The facts are, again documented, that Obama making similar gaffs are covered repeatedly and incessantly for several news cycles, even when the presentations ara a distortion of what he, his wife, or a surrogate said or did. So if anyone is getting a free ride from the fawning media it is McCain.

I agree. Did you see when they asked him why should Viagra be more important than birth control to insurance companies? He did not honestly know what to say! And he should be embarrassed. Do you really think he is capable to run this country better than the leader that we already have?

Don't even start the political tactic made famous by slick willy. You KNOW what I'm talking about...falsely accuse the other side of doing what you've done all along. I got knews for you and your left wing buddies...PEOPLE ARE NOT SO STUPID THAT THEY DON'T SEE WHJAT YOU'RE DOING! So stop traeting them like they are idiots. You guys remind me of the wizard in the Wizard of Oz movie. "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!"

I agree that Sen. McCain does not receive the same amount of face time in the media as Sen. Obama. What scares me even more is that the majority of Hollywood seems to be endorsing Obama...which is fine if they have reason to do so. I am worried that there are many people, who because they are fans of these stars will worry less about making their own decision and more with aligning along side their favorite actor/actress. Oprah is the perfect example. Everything she touches seems to turn to gold. If she endorses a book it seems to become a best seller because of the fact that she encourages her millions of viewers to purchase that particular book. I just hope that the general population can look past the glitz and the glamour and form their own opinions. Somtimes it is better to make your own decision even if it's not the popular opinion. My own personal opinion...I wish Hollywood would keep their nose out of politics. They are no more of an expert than anybody else. They are not doing anybody any favors.

To John the elder - When a candidate "flip flops" as you call it you need to understand that they changed their mind because they found additional information they did not have previously. Just like you change your mind when you have already made a decision. How many times have you changed your mind on anything? See!

I can not wait for ABC, CBS and NBC to show vacation pictures of "Barry" Obama's while they were with him. The main stream drive by media is already thinking of a television show for Barry.

I can hardly wait until ABC, CBS and NBC come home from vacationing with Barry Obama and we can see all the fun they had. What is next maybe a television series with Barry?

        The truth marches on

This is the most utterly absurd of all the issues yet to date. Are you kidding me? John McSame goes out of his way every interview to twist, misconstrue and flat out accuse Obama of stuff he never said, and now we're supposed to feel sorry for his lack of coverage. He's boring...plain and simple. Plus he commits so many gaffes and foot in mouth comments, that it is painful watching him try to awkwardly extracate it. I sholud think conservatives and supporters breathe a collective sigh of relief when his speeches go off unhitched. He's 72 years old for cryin out loud.

I live in Ohio and over the years I have noticed that when there are elections coming up, the so called "Liberal" media endorses the REPUBLICAN candidate 90% of the time or more.

There are positives and negatives to both of these candidates and I am not excited about either one of them. However, I would love for one interviewer to ask, if Obama were married to a white woman, would we be referring to him as white? And, if we want to be politically correct all the time, why is he referred to as "black" and not a term that describes his being bi-racial? I really do not care what color our next president is going to be as long as that does not become the platform. It just bothers me to think that by referring to Obama as "black," that this is a way to get voters that if he were referred to as white, he would not get. I just pray that people would vote for their man of choice for the right reasons; wouldn't that be a great election. . . . . an actual honest one from all parties involved! I don't think many of us will live long enough to see an election like that. . . . how sad!!! The media needs to be fair and just give us the TRUE facts and let us do the voting based on the facts! Sounds so easy, so what is the problem?

The real question is. Has our Great Country sunk so low in self esteem, that people are putting blind faith in a less than ONE term Senator? Come on folks get up off your arses and speak out against this wannabe. The younger generation appears too willing to take the BS Obama spews out as "gospel, when in reality it is nothing of substance. Freedom is not free and those of you who think Obama has the answers are in for a very rude awakening. Hard choices and decisions need making, not only by the next President, but the entire Congress should be thrown out, every single one of them. Nancy Pelosi should be tarred and feathered along with Harry Reid. They are an absolute disgrace to our Country. Lets start hearing the real issues facing our Country be fuly discussed and solutions proffered. Enough rhetoric from both sides.

I see the same thing as many Americans see not only in the news papers but on local and national TV.
A lot of free press for Mr Obama as your polls indicate. One must wonder how are troops fighting the wars in both countries feel about the whole situation? Same goes for coverage in the war zones only the bad things that happen are reported and yet a lot of good things are happening in both countries Iraq and Afghanistan. Wish one of those poll people would call me so I could mislead them on who I would vote for! If we as Americans would keep our vote private maybe the news media would find another story they could make money on.

This will go down in history as the election dictated by the media. Obama is a media-created darling and they will push him all the way into the White House. What will be interesting is that they will then be unable to criticize him once he becomes President because to do so would be to admit they were wrong.

Melissa, I agree with you completely. I wish Hollywood would stay out of things. I can't imagine what would happen if Obama became President. It boggles the mind to see people fall for such eloquent words without thinking further (who, what, when, where, why). You didn't see Hillary standing up at the podium saying she was going to do this or that. She knows how things get done. And just by saying "I'm going to do this, and WE need to do that, and getting everyone to rally behind them by saying - yeah that's what I want. That's not getting anything done. HOW ARE YOU GOING TO DO THIS OR THAT!? I HAVEN'T HEARD OBAMA SAY ANYTHING AS TO HOW HE'S GOING TO ACCOMPLISH SOMETHING. I really liked his comment though that everyone should learn to speak Spanish. This ought to tell everyone how things are going to go. Last I checked, we lived in the USA where English is our language.

I agree with those who see the liberal bias in the media for years. I also wanted to thank the Richvet for reminding all of us that the coverage of the men and women whose protection allows us these discussions is NEVER given fair treatment in the media. If the networks and the New York times are not ashamed of themselves for the way they have treated our military they should be. And that goes for how they have reported on Sen. Mc Cain as well.

A bunch of whiners -leave it to the Republicans to whine about something they fought to stop in the first place -There was a time when it was necessary to have equal time, this was called the Fairness Doctrine put forth by the FCC in the 1940s and than 1960s However, in 1985 the FCC dissolved the doctrine. In the spring of 1987, both houses of Congress voted to put the fairness doctrine into law--a statutory fairness doctrine which the FCC would have to enforce, like it or not. But President Reagan, in keeping with his deregulatory efforts and his long-standing favor of keeping government out of the affairs of business, vetoed the legislation. There were insufficient votes to override the veto. Congressional efforts to make the doctrine into law surfaced again during the Bush administration. As before, the legislation was vetoed, this time by Bush.

The way it seems to me is that if McCain received more exposure from the MSM his campaign might be over. i think they favor him from years of access and the reason they cover Obama more extensively is to report on any mistake or error he may make. How do you explaining 4 days of coverage over the word "refine". How many people know that McCain lied about his POW story to substitute the Steelers for the Packers. Joked about Iraqis dying from smoking cigarettes and rapid change on whether Iraq's sovereignty should trump our oil interests (I say oil interests because that is what this is mostly about).

McCain never jokes about Iraqi dying because of cigarette! Get your facts straight.

The reporters asked what he thinks about the fact that US imported a lot of cigarettes to Iran.
He then jokingly says "Oh maybe that's the way to kill 'em". When he said "em", he could mean the Iran militants who supplied weapons to Iraq insurgents. If MSM is willing to overlook Obama's gaffe of "57 states", this one should be non issue. But of course, some runs with McCain wants to commit genocide against Iranian.

The worst is New York Times. McCain wants to submit his IRaq Op Ed piece, similar to Obama's piece that they ran a week earlier. And he gets rejected!!! That's so blatantly biased that I cancelled my new york times subscription. Shame on You NYT.

For one thing, this cigarette joke mainly points out the devastation of one's life due to cigarette smoking. Smoke too much, & you will die early, period. Besides from that, I don't see how this could be even 1/100th times meaningful as compared to Rev. Wright's caustic remarks on the American heritage, American people, racism against the whites, ..... This was a joke, nothing more. Rev. Wright's comments were spoken wholeheartedly, & Obama "amened" through everything he said until it was politically advantageous anymore.

bajones you are right also. I don't think that he would get the votes or the media attention if he was referred to as biracial. In my opinion it is actually a slap in the face to his white relatives that he is not considered biracial. I have grandchildren who are biracial and they do not deny either race. They say they are biracial not just black or white.
I think it sad that this election will be won on race and not on politics.

Because every time a fact comes out, Obama is exposed as the left wing anti-american Marxist that he is. Smart Americans understand that American greatness isnt rooted in Marxism. People who spend their life swimming in a cesspool of anti-american radicals/terrorists shouldn't be president. I'm amazed Democrats disagree. Then these idiots wonder why normal Americans question their patriotism.

Hopefully, thoughtful americans will not be duped by the left-wing media campaign to elect a black radical Marxist.
